Mufasa: Look, Simba. Everything the light touches is our kingdom.
Simba: Whoa...
Mufasa: A king's time as ruler rises and falls like the sun. One day Simba, the sun will set on my time here, and will rise with you as the new king.
Simba: And this'll all be mine?
Mufasa: Everything. Simba: Everything the light touches...

Mufasa: Is that a challenge?

Mufasa: I'm up, I'm up.

Mufasa: Okay okay.

Mufasa laughs

Mufasa chuckles

Mufasa: Drop him.
Zazu: Impecable timing your majesty.

Mufasa: That hairball is my son and your future king.

Mufasa: Take Nala home. I've got to teach my son a lesson.

Mufasa: That's beyond our borders. You must never go there Simba.

Mufasa: Zazu!

Mufasa: [About Scar] What am I going to do with him?
Zazu: Turn him into a throw rug.
Mufasa: Zazu!
Zazu: No, whenever he get's dirty you can take him out and beat him.

Mufasa: Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.
Simba: But dad, don't we eat the antelope?
Mufasa: Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connnected in the great Circle of Life.

Mufasa: Hold on Simba!
